Sony Pictures Networks India (SPNI), also known as Culver Max Entertainment Private Limited, has acquired the media rights for all Asia Cup tournaments from 2024 to 2031. The Asian Cricket Council (ACC) announced this landmark deal, which reflects a 70% increase in value compared to the previous rights cycle.

  • Duration and Format: The agreement spans four editions of the Asia Cup, with two to be played in the ODI format and two in the T20 format:
    • 2025: India (T20)
    • 2027: Bangladesh (ODI)
    • 2029: Pakistan (T20)
    • 2031: Sri Lanka (ODI)
  • The deal also includes rights for Men’s and Women’s Asia Cups, Under-19 Asia Cups, and Emerging Teams Asia Cups, covering both television and digital platforms.

Jay Shah, Chairman of the ACC, emphasized the significance of the deal:

“This Media Rights deal is a significant milestone for the ACC and cricket across the region. The Asia Cup remains a cornerstone of cricketing excellence, bringing together the best of the region’s talent. With Sony Pictures Networks India as our media partner, we are confident in their ability to deliver world-class coverage and an immersive viewing experience for fans worldwide.”

Fans can expect innovative and immersive content across television, digital, and audio platforms.

This acquisition further solidifies the Asia Cup’s importance as a premier event in global cricket, showcasing the best talent from across the region.
