Nepal’s U19 women’s cricket team clinched the final spot in next year’s ICC U19 Women’s T20 World Cup after a thrilling victory over UAE, securing their place based on a superior run rate. The dramatic match, held on the final day of the ICC U19 Women’s T20 World Cup Asia Qualifier 2024, saw Nepal outperform UAE, who had been unbeaten throughout the tournament until this showdown.

Match Highlights: Nepal’s Breakthrough Performance
Entering the match, Nepal trailed UAE by two points, making the qualification scenario critical. To edge past UAE on net run rate, Nepal had to restrict their opponent and chase down the target efficiently. The Nepalese bowling attack rose to the occasion, limiting UAE to a modest 83 runs. Krishma Gurung starred with a four-wicket haul, while Riya Sharma and Seemana KC supported with two wickets each.
